Overview

Bibliotheca Busan, set against the stunning backdrop of the sea in Busan, is an outdoor festival that blends books, culture, and art. Visitors can enjoy reading as well as cultural programs organized in collaboration with public libraries, bookstores, publishers, and cultural institutions in Busan.

Bibliotheca Busan is a free outdoor book festival held right on Dadaepo Beach, combining reading, book talks and music with a sea view. It's organised by Busan Metropolitan City in partnership with local libraries, bookstores and publishers, so it has a strong community, literary feel rather than a typical commercial festival.

Getting there from Seoul

Take the KTX from Seoul Station to Busan Station (roughly 2.5–3 hours). From Busan Station, connect to Busan Metro Line 1 and ride to Dadaepo Beach Station, which sits right by the venue. Trains run frequently, so this is an easy same-day trip if you plan around the Saturday/Sunday event days.

  • Runs only on Saturdays and Sundays between 19 September and 11 October 2026, 15:00–21:00 — check the specific weekend before you go.
  • Admission is free.

Stages set throughout the park will showcase everything from emerging talent to world-renowned headliners.
