Overview

To commemorate Youth Day 2026, this is an event directly planned and led by young people who actively take part in creating it. By organizing youth participation and experience programs such as the Youth LAB Program and This Month's Youth Instructor Class, it opens up a space for communication and harmony among the younger generation and for sharing youth culture. The subtitle of the 2026 Yongin Youth Festival, "Youth? You too-yong? Me too-yong!", carries the meaning of building common ground, sharing culture, and creating opportunities for exchange among young people in Yongin. The Wa-ralala Daytime Beer Meetup and the Eolle-beolle Board Game Program give local youth a chance to connect, while the Udangtangtang Find-the-Fake game and the Yorijori Festival Exploration Challenge let participants enjoy linked events such as the Korea Joayong Festival, and the Warigari Speed OX Quiz is also prepared as a time to learn about everything from youth policy to culture.

Why go

The Yongin Youth Festival is a youth-led celebration marking Youth Day 2026, built around programs created by young people themselves, including the Youth LAB Program and a monthly youth instructor class. Activities range from a daytime beer meetup and board games to quiz challenges, with some events linked to the concurrent Korea Joayong Festival.

Getting there from Seoul

Yongin sits in Gyeonggi-do, roughly 40-70 minutes from central Seoul depending on traffic and route. Take the Suin-Bundang or Shinbundang Line toward the Yongin/Giheung area and transfer to a local bus or taxi for Cheoin-gu, or catch an intercity bus from a major Seoul terminal to Yongin Terminal and continue by local bus or taxi to the venue.

Tips

  • Interactive programs like the beer meetup, board games, and quizzes may fill up or need on-site sign-up, so arrive early.
  • Some activities link directly with the nearby Korea Joayong Festival, so check for combined schedules if you want to see both.
  • Early October evenings in Gyeonggi-do can turn cool, so bring a light layer.

Best for: young adults, game lovers, social meetups, festival hoppers.

    Oct 10 – Oct 11, 2026

The 22nd Poeun Culture Festival is a historical and cultural festival that honors the life and spirit of Poeun Jeong Mong-ju and shares traditional culture with citizens.
