Yeongdo Bridge Festival
Oct 30 – Nov 1, 2026 · Busan

Overview
The 34th Yeongdo Bridge Festival is a representative cultural festival of Yeongdo-gu, Busan, held for three days from October 30 to November 1, 2026, in the area around Bongnae-dong Wharf and Amir Park. This festival is held every year to promote the historical and cultural value of Yeongdo Bridge, which connects the city center and the sea, and to foster harmony among residents. The event venue is divided into two locations: Bongnae-dong Wharf and Amir Park. At Bongnae-dong Wharf, retro culture programs such as the Opening Ceremony, Memories of Black Rubber Shoes, Yeongdo Bridge Silent Film Theater, and Yeongdo Memory Alley will be held, while at Amir Park, visitors can enjoy the Closing Ceremony, Yeongdo Bridge Song Festival, Star Chef Cooking Show, and eco-friendly experience programs.
Why go
The 34th Yeongdo Bridge Festival marks three days of events centered on the historic Yeongdo Bridge, which links central Busan to Yeongdo Island and the sea. Programs split across two sites, Bongnae-dong Wharf and Amir Park, mix retro-themed attractions like the Silent Film Theater and Memories of Black Rubber Shoes with closing-night highlights such as the Yeongdo Bridge Song Festival and a Star Chef Cooking Show.
Getting there from Seoul
Take the KTX from Seoul Station to Busan Station (roughly 2.5-3 hours), then continue by taxi or local bus into Yeongdo-gu, where Bongnae-dong Wharf and Amir Park sit near the Yeongdo Bridge itself. An express bus from Seoul to Busan is a slower alternative, taking around 4-5 hours depending on traffic.
Tips
- The festival runs across two separate venues, Bongnae-dong Wharf and Amir Park, so check which programs are at each site before setting out
- Late October to early November in Busan is generally mild but can be windy near the waterfront, so bring a light jacket
- Arrive early for marquee events like the Opening/Closing Ceremonies and Song Festival, as crowds build quickly at outdoor festival sites

Busan Jagalchi Festival
Oct 15 – Oct 18, 2026
The Busan Jagalchi Festival is Busan's premier marine and fisheries culture festival, held every October at Jagalchi Market, Korea's leading seafood market. It begins with Yongsinje, a traditional ritual ceremony praying for a bountiful catch, and this year visitors can also enjoy a pungmulpae (traditional folk percussion troupe) performance during the gilnori street parade. The festival's opening ceremony features a spectacular fireworks show lighting up Namhang (South Port), followed by celebratory performances from popular singers, including Miss Trot winner Song Ga-in. There is also a 'festival within a festival' — the Jagalchi Dried Seafood Food Zone — offering a space for the MZ generation (millennials and Gen Z) and family visitors. A variety of hands-on events for visitors are also prepared, including the Eel Relay Race and Catch the Golden Fish, and the festival's signature event, Making the World's Largest Raw Fish Bibimbap, will be shared for free with the many citizens and visitors at the venue.
