Overview

An old, worn-out multi-family house on the outskirts of Seoul. Neighbors, each carrying their own stories and hardships, live out their lives there. One scorching summer day, all the peppers disappear from the small rooftop garden where the elderly 'Gwangja' has been modestly growing them.

The culprit who took all the peppers turns out to be none other than 'Hyeonja,' a neighbor living in the same villa. The neighbors each have something to say about it, but to 'Hyeontae' of Unit 301 in particular, this 'pepper theft incident' does not look like a trivial matter. It has to do with a world that is falling apart. Everyone in the villa, not to mention his own family, is made uncomfortable by what 'Hyeontae' says, but only one person, 'Donggyo' of Unit 303, begins to act and help 'Hyeontae' for reasons no one can explain. The squabble among neighbors that began over mere peppers starts to spiral into a huge uproar involving the entire villa.

    D.FESTA Small Theater Festival

    Oct 7 – Oct 25, 2026

The D.FESTA Small Theater Festival has strived to lead the way toward a better performing arts culture by keeping pace with changes in the domestic production environment and the direction of the performance market. Since 2016, through regional exchanges with cities such as Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, and Busan, the festival has worked to bridge cultural disparities nationwide—beyond just Seoul’s Daehangno district—and has consistently sought to expand its reach through cultural exchanges with overseas performance groups. As a result, the festival showcases the fruits of its ongoing international cultural exchanges. This year’s D.FESTA Small Theater Festival will serve as a springboard to introduce outstanding domestic performances to the world and to gauge and understand the cultural standards of other countries.
