Overview

Paju Fair Book & Culture brings together major publishers, authors, readers, and bookstores in one place, offering a special venue where books can be viewed and enjoyed from new perspectives rather than simply read. It presents citizens with a variety of cultural and artistic creative works—performances, exhibitions, and experiences—that spring from the source content of books, further expanding the realm of reading culture. Furthermore, it is not limited to the domestic market; it actively introduces outstanding K-Books and related content to overseas markets, also serving as a global market that pioneers new sales channels. The 2026 Paju Fair Book & Culture will be composed of diverse programs over about 10 days. A variety of performances will be held, including the opening ceremony 'BOOKS ALIVE!', an indie music and dance festival, and a youth dance festival. The book market 'Nan-geotdeul,' featuring around 290 publishers and bookstores, along with its own program 'Nan-jangpan' and themed exhibitions, will be linked together to provide a wealth of attractions. In addition, as part of the Youth Companion Program, a Paju brewery concert and listening session called 'Let's Just Listen,' as well as the 'Chaeknic' experience renting out picnic items, will be run. Alongside this, global publishing and IP business consultation sessions and an international forum will be held to promote the expansion of K-Books, and a rich lineup of cultural networking programs, including lectures and flea markets held throughout Paju Book City, will also be prepared.
