Overview
The Jeonju Bibimbap Festival celebrates the taste and charm of one of Korea's representative foods in the city of it's origin, Jeonju. The city has been recognized by UNESCO as a City of Gastronomy, and the festival promotes this branding. Visitors to the festival can enjoy a variety of immersive programs, including hadns-on activities and performances centered on Jeonju bibimbap.

Getting there from Seoul
Take the KTX from Yongsan Station to Jeonju Station, then a short taxi or local bus ride to Jeonju Deokjin Park. Express buses to Jeonju also run from Seoul's intercity/express bus terminals if you prefer not to transfer.
Tips
- Festival hours are 11:00-21:00 each day, so an afternoon or evening visit works well
- Admission is free, so budget mainly for food and activity fees on site
- Deokjin Park is a separate venue from Jeonju Hanok Village, so allow extra travel time if visiting both

Gimje Horizon Festival

The Gimje Horizon Festival is Korea’s only Honorary Cultural Tourism Festival dedicated to traditional farming culture, as designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Centered around Byeokgolje Reservoir, Korea’s oldest and largest irrigation facility, the festival celebrates the nation's rich farming heritage. Set against the region's expansive horizon, the festival features the Presidential Cup National Nongak Competition, along with hands-on agricultural experiences such as cooking rice over a traditional wood-fired stove, catching grasshoppers, and harvesting rice. Visitors can also take part in traditional events, including the Byeokgolje Twin Dragon Play, inspired by a local legend, and the Ipseok Tug-of-War for a bountiful harvest.
