Overview
The Citywide Energy Walk Festival is an eco-friendly energy participation program organized to commemorate the 2026 Daejeon World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC-9). It is an event where participants can walk together through downtown Daejeon in the fall, experience the value of energy and the environment firsthand, and reflect on a sustainable future.
This event is a walking program where anyone can participate enjoyably without any competitive ranking. Participants will start at Daejeon Expo Citizens’ Plaza, walk through the Hanbat Arboretum area, and complete mobile stamp missions along the way. By completing a total of four missions via smartphone QR code verification, participants will receive a completion reward and a mobile certificate of completion. Alongside the walking program, various other activities will be held to help participants learn about energy in an easy and fun way.

Getting there from Seoul
Take the KTX from Seoul Station or Yongsan Station to Daejeon Station, about one hour each way. From Daejeon Station, transfer to Daejeon Metro Line 1 toward Government Complex Station (Jeongbu Cheongsa), which is within walking distance of Hanbat Arboretum, the Daejeon Expo Citizens' Plaza area, and the DCC; a taxi from Daejeon Station takes roughly 15-20 minutes.
Tips
- The program runs for one afternoon only, Sunday 15 November 2026, 1:30-5:00 p.m., so check the schedule before travelling down.
- Bring a charged smartphone, since the walking course's stamp missions are completed via QR code scans.
- Activities are split between the outdoor walking route (Expo Plaza/Hanbat Arboretum) and the DCC Exhibition Hall 1 (quiz and experience booths), so leave time to move between the two.

The Moonlight Music Festival is a cultural and arts performance series designed to let people enjoy music on autumn nights from September through October in familiar, everyday settings across Daejeon’s five districts. As an open-air event free to all citizens, it will feature a total of five performances—one in each district. Against the backdrop of cool autumn nights, local artists performing a variety of genres will take the stage, alongside performances by popular singers. By adding music to the familiar and comfortable parks and riversides in the city center, the Moonlight Music Festival aims to provide special moments and experiences where families, couples, and friends can enjoy music together and share the joy of live performances as part of their daily lives.
