Overview

The Anyang Youth Festival will be held on October 10 at Pyeongchon Central Park. Under this year's slogan 'Youth is Purple,' the festival carries the meaning that young people, each with their own unique light, come together within Anyang's color 'purple,' coloring Anyang's today with the most beautiful youth. The 'purple' in the slogan is the color of youth where the 'red' of passion meets the 'blue' of rest, and also expresses the wish to see and share each other's diverse youth together. The festival will be made up of various programs reflecting young people's cultural sensibilities, including exhibition, promotion, and experience booth programs, as well as performances by young local artists from Anyang, celebratory performances, and a youth award ceremony.

Why go

This one-day youth culture festival in Anyang centers on the theme 'Youth is Purple,' bringing together exhibition, promotion, and hands-on experience booths with performances by young local artists. It's a compact, community-driven event rather than a large-scale festival, with a youth award ceremony capping off the day.

Getting there from Seoul

Pyeongchon Central Park sits in Dongan-gu, Anyang, which is reachable from Seoul via Seoul Subway Line 4 (get off near Pyeongchon and walk to the park). It's a straightforward day trip of well under an hour from central Seoul subway stations, so no overnight stay is needed.

Tips

  • The festival is a single day only (10 October 2026), so there's no multi-day window to work around.
  • It's held outdoors in a city park, so dress for October weather and wear comfortable shoes for moving between booths and the stage.
  • No official hours or fees have been published, so check local signage or city/park announcements on the day for the exact schedule.

Best for: young adults, local culture, performances, day-trippers from Seoul.
