Overview

Recky's Mysterious Picnic is an experiential mission-tour content set around the Dotseom Marine Leisure Park area in Changwon. Based on a retro concept that modernly reinterprets the atmosphere of 1980s-90s Dotseom outings, it runs various programs together, including a picnic zone on the lawn plaza, a mission tour, and a yacht experience.

Participants access a web-based platform (Trace247) without installing a separate app, moving between designated locations within Dotseom to find clues and carry out missions. After registering at the information desk, participants receive an identification item to start the game, and proceed by combining clues hidden around the island to complete the final mission.

The event content consists of a free picnic program with a retro outing concept, a map-based orienteering experience (free, 3 courses), a paid mission tour (Trace247), a yacht experience, a mysterious snack stand, and a hanbok experience. It is planned as stay-all-day content that visitors can enjoy throughout the day, operated alongside linked programs such as a small concert arranged by Changwon City.

Why go

Recky's Mysterious Picnic turns Changwon's Dotseom Marine Leisure Park into a retro-themed, all-day mission game inspired by 1980s-90s seaside outings. Visitors solve clue-based challenges across the island using a web platform, with extras like a yacht experience, hanbok rental, and a snack stand layered on top of a free lawn picnic area.

Getting there from Seoul

Take the KTX from Seoul Station (or Yongsan) toward Masan, which generally takes a few hours depending on the route and transfers. Alternatively, an express or intercity bus from a Seoul terminal to Masan or Changwon is an option. From Masan or Changwon, a local taxi or bus connects to Dotseom in Wolyeong-dong, Masanhappo-gu.

Tips

  • No app download needed — the mission tour (Trace247) runs through a web browser, so bring a phone with data or connect to local wifi.
  • Register at the information desk first to receive the identification item required to start the game.
  • Plan for most of a day, since the event is designed as stay-all-day content combining the free picnic zone, orienteering courses, and paid mission tour.

Best for: families, couples, puzzle/mission-game fans, photographers.
