Yeongdeungpo Seonyudo Garden Festival
Oct 24 – Oct 25, 2026 · Seoul

Overview
Seonyudo Park is a place where lush greenery has bloomed atop the cold structures of a former water purification plant. The Yeongdeungpo Seonyudo Garden Festival is designed to let visitors feel the atmosphere of Seonyudo Park—Korea's first ecological park built through environmental restoration—and the harmony between nature and art. Key programs include Bird Walk, a bird-watching activity where participants observe the park's ecosystem and birds; Outdoor Yoga, open to families, couples, and others; and the Street Art Festival, made up of performances by teams selected through an open call. In addition, the 'October Seonyu' flea market, planned by Yeongdeungpo residents, will run together with stage programs, offering a wealth of sights, food, and other events.
Why go
Seonyudo Park is Korea's first ecological park, created by transforming a former water purification plant into a green, art-filled space. During the festival, visitors can join a guided Bird Walk to spot the park's birdlife, take part in outdoor yoga open to families and couples, and watch street performances chosen through an open call, alongside a flea market run by local Yeongdeungpo residents.
Getting there from Seoul
Take Seoul Subway Line 9 to Seonyudo Station; the park and the festival's 'Street You Want to Walk' area are within walking distance of the station. The site is in Dangsan-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, so no bus or taxi transfer is needed from most parts of central Seoul.
Tips
- The festival runs only two days (24–25 October 2026), so confirm which day the Bird Walk, Outdoor Yoga, or Street Art Festival programs are scheduled before heading out.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes, since the festival spans both Seonyudo Park and the nearby 'Street You Want to Walk' street.
- Stop by the 'October Seonyu' flea market, run by local residents, for food and goods alongside the stage performances.
Best for: families, nature lovers, photographers, market browsers.
