The 2026 Yecheon Archery Festival will be held for three days, from October 30 to November 1, around Hancheon Sports Park. Along with archery experiences where visitors can try both Olympic-style archery and Korean traditional archery, the festival runs a variety of experience programs that add fun and challenge to archery, and visitors can enjoy thrilling bow-based competitions through the Archery Siege Battle, in which teams are formed to compete against an opposing side. There are also experiences for children such as suction-cup archery, making your own bow, Air Hoverball, and gong-hitting, as well as an archery playground featuring an air bounce, rides, and sand and cypress (hinoki) play areas. In addition, the festival offers a variety of entertainment programs including street character performances and bubble shows, plus a food zone, providing diverse sights and activities for people of all ages to enjoy together.
Why go
Yecheon is known as Korea's leading town for archery, and this festival lets visitors try both Olympic-style and Korean traditional archery alongside team-based Archery Siege Battle competitions. Kids' activities (suction-cup archery, bow-making, Air Hoverball, gong-hitting) and an archery playground with air bounce, rides, and sand/hinoki play areas make it suitable for families, while street performances, bubble shows, and a food zone round out the three-day event.
Getting there from Seoul
Yecheon sits in Gyeongbuk province; from Seoul you can take an intercity/express bus from a Seoul terminal or a train (ITX-Mugunghwa/Mugunghwa class) on the Gyeongbuk Line to Yecheon station. From Yecheon's bus terminal or station, Hancheon Sports Park is a short taxi or local bus ride away, as the venue sits outside the town center in Nambon-ri, Yecheon-eup.
Tips
- Plan a short taxi or local bus transfer from Yecheon's terminal/station to Hancheon Sports Park, since it's outside the main town.
- Pack layers — late October to early November in Gyeongbuk can be cool, especially mornings and evenings for an outdoor festival.
- Expect queues for popular activities like the Olympic-style and traditional archery experiences and the Archery Siege Battle, so arrive early if you want to try everything.
Best for: families, archery enthusiasts, cultural experience seekers.

Independence Fair Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the June 10 Independence Movement
Nov 4 – Nov 6, 2026
2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the June 10 Independence Movement. To mark this centennial, the 'Independence Fair Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the June 10 Independence Movement' is being held, offering a new way to encounter the meaning of the independence movement within today's everyday life. This Independence Fair will be held at Andong International Convention Center as a multi-part event combining exhibitions, hands-on experiences, lectures, talks, education, and culture. In the 'Exhibition Zone,' the scenes of the June 10 Independence Movement are recreated, allowing visitors to indirectly absorb historical knowledge, while the 'Experience Zone,' working together with various memorial and veterans affairs organizations, offers participatory content so that future generations can naturally learn about the June 10 Independence Movement, a subject that has often been seen as difficult. Indoors, a variety of programs are arranged, including informative lectures and talk shows aimed at teenagers, while outdoors, performances and rest areas are considered to create a lively and enjoyable festival. This forward-looking 'patriots and veterans culture' is carried out in today's language and style, based on the belief that it should be something 'anyone can enjoy easily and with fun.'

Mungyeong Apple Festival
Oct 17 – Nov 1, 2026
Mungyeong is a mid-mountain region, and apples grown there in fertile soil and a pristine natural environment with a wide day-night temperature gap have firm flesh, a deep aroma, and high sweetness, earning them a reputation as 'honey apples.' Mungyeong apple farmers have a strong passion for producing high-quality apples, completing technical training to grow delicious and safe apples, and take pride in being 'good farmers' who put consumers first. The Mungyeong Apple Festival is a bountiful festival centered on the premium, nationally representative Mungyeong Gamhong apple, which boasts the best taste and aroma in the country with an average sweetness of 16.5 Brix. The festival holds event programs as well as promotional and sales events to widely publicize the excellence of Mungyeong Gamhong apples to consumers, and operates an online store to give consumers who cannot visit the festival site in person the chance to purchase Mungyeong apples — making it a festival ground where all visitors can be satisfied and enjoy themselves.
