Overview
The Wonju Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival is a resident-led autumn flower festival held in the Yongsugol area of Seogok-ri, Panbu-myeon, Wonju-si, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. The 5th Wonju Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival in 2026 will be held for 13 days, from September 23 to October 5. The festival grounds are a space where village residents directly create and manage the flower fields, featuring a variety of autumn flowers in season. The main flowers include zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, yellow cosmos, purpletop vervain, globe amaranth, and asters, and visitors can enjoy flower fields arranged into different zones according to flower type and color. During the festival, programs centered on viewing the flower fields and taking photos will be operated, and a space for local residents to sell food and local agricultural specialties will also be set up. The Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival is a seasonal festival centered on flowers held in autumn at Yongsugol, the same site where the spring Field Poppy Festival takes place. It is a resident-led festival in which local residents directly participate in everything from creating the flower fields to operating the festival and managing the environment, serving as tourism content that makes use of the area's natural environment and rural scenery. It is one of Yongsugol's representative seasonal flower festivals, offering seasonal flower tourism centered on field poppies in spring and a variety of autumn flowers in fall.

2026 Wonju Small and Medium Enterprises Excellent Products Expo

The 2026 Wonju Small and Medium Enterprises Excellent Products Expo is an urban-style local festival that showcases sights, food, and fun activities using Wonju's industrial resources and excellent products from local small and medium enterprises. It will be held from October 2 to October 4, 2026, around Jeolmeumui Gwangjang in Wonju-si, hosted by Wonju-si and organized by the Gangwon State Economic Promotion Agency. The event site will feature exhibition and sales booths for small and medium enterprise products, free experience booths, a flea market, food trucks, a kids zone, a main stage, and more. It is an event that runs hands-on programs such as making ggae-gangjeong (sesame seed brittle), making mugs, mother-of-pearl jewelry boxes, and terrariums, and a drone piloting simulator, along with programs families can enjoy together, such as children's economic education, a cooking competition, an O/X quiz game, an AI Golden Bell quiz, and a children's talent show. It is organized so that visitors can enjoy the region's products, food, and hands-on content all in one place, aiming to promote local businesses while also extending visitors' time spent at the event.

Night of Light Show

Night of Light Show is a nighttime attraction at Ganhyeon Tourist Area that mixes media facade, lasers, and a fountain show into one grand performance. The media facade section is the largest in Korea, using 12 large beam projectors on a natural rock wall. There are also seven large lasers and the fountain shoots water up to 60 meters high in time to music. Night of Light Show takes place on Saturday and Sunday evenings from late April to late October.

The 2nd Bungnae Geumdangcheon Three-Flavor Specialty Food Festival, where visitors can experience the beautiful Geumdangcheon stream of Bungnae-myeon together with the area's abundant local food in one place, was organized to bring residents and visitors together to share good food, culture, and fun, and to add vitality to the area's sluggish local economy. At the festival site, food booths offering Bungnae-myeon's specialty foods and produce booths selling fresh local agricultural products will be operated. There will also be a free pastry tasting event and a variety of hands-on programs, so people of all ages can enjoy a fun time. In particular, the opening ceremony will feature a variety of cultural performances, including a 40-piece orchestra performance, and lively performances and attractions will continue throughout the festival period. This festival brings together the beautiful nature of Geumdangcheon, the warm hospitality of Bungnae-myeon, and the delicious local food.
