Overview

The '5th Gunwi Samguk Yusa National Family Walking Festival with Ingaksa' is a walking event in Gunwi, the home of Samguk Yusa, where families can walk together and experience the region's history and nature. Marking its 5th year, this festival is held together with Ingaksa, a temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism known as the place where Samguk Yusa was written, and is designed to spread awareness of the historical significance of Samguk Yusa and Gunwi's cultural and tourism resources through walking. Participants can walk along a course set along the natural scenery around Ingaksa and enjoy the autumn atmosphere together with family, friends, and loved ones. Alongside the walking festival, the event venue will feature celebratory performances by invited singers Hong Won-bin, Park Seo-jin, and Kim Tae-yeon, as well as various on-site programs for participants. As a family-friendly event where history, culture, nature, and performances can all be experienced in one place, it aims to spread a healthy leisure culture through walking and to promote the cultural value of Gunwi and Samguk Yusa.

    Yeongcheon Oriental Medicine Festival

    The 2026 Yeongcheon Oriental Medicine Festival, now in its 24th edition, is a traditional Korean medicine culture festival held from October 2 to 4, 2026, in the area around Yeongcheon Riverside Park. In Zone D, toward the Yeongcheon Cultural Center, the festival will set up spaces for oriental medicine health consultations and experiences, medicinal herb (yakseon) food, oriental medicine crafts, and family play and rest areas. The event introduces oriental medicine culture through health consultations and experiences with Korean medicine doctors (hanuisa) and an oriental-medicine-based K-MEDI wellness program. It will also run oriental medicine tea tasting, medicinal herb and scent sachet making, skin, beauty, and healing experiences, and family craft-making programs. The festival site will feature a K-MEDI Health Experience Zone, a DHU Oriental Medicine Wellness Zone, a Yeongcheon Herbal Medicine Market Zone, an Oriental Medicine Yakseon Food Zone, and an Oriental Medicine Picnic Garden. A mission tour in which visitors explore the experience zones and take part in activities, along with a gift-giving event, are also being prepared. With a program that flows from health consultations to hands-on experiences, food, and rest, the festival is designed to let visitors of all ages encounter Yeongcheon's oriental medicine resources.

    Yeongcheon Traditional Korean Medicine Festival

    Yeongcheon Traditional Korean Medicine Festival features areas for oriental medicine health consultations and experiences, medicinal food, oriental medicine crafts, as well as spaces for family play and relaxation. The event introduces oriental medicine culture through health consultations and experiences with doctors of Korean medicine, as well as K-MEDI wellness programs based on oriental medicine. Programs such as herbal tea tasting, making medicinal herbs and scented pouches, skin, beauty, and healing experiences, and crafts and making activities for families are also offered. This festival is designed to allow visitors of various ages to experience Yeongcheon's traditional medicine resources through a program that extends from health consultations to hands-on activities, food, and relaxation.

    Tteokbokki Festival

    The 6th Tteokbokki Festival is Korea's leading tteokbokki-specialized festival, hosted by Buk-gu, Daegu. It will be held for three days from October 23 to 25, 2026, around Daegu iM Bank PARK, and has established itself as a representative autumn festival in Daegu that draws tens of thousands of visitors every year. This festival is a multifaceted cultural festival featuring a food zone with famous tteokbokki restaurants from across the country and various food and beverage vendors, alongside performance, experience, and event programs. The main programs include the Main Stage Performance, Tteokpe Night, Red Flavor Lucky Draw, Wandeok Challenge Mission, a customized inbound tour for Taiwanese tourists, and a post-event short-form video contest. Centered on tteokbokki, it is a festival that promotes K-food culture and contributes to revitalizing the local economy.
