Getting there from Seoul
The festival is held at Subongsan in Michuhol-gu (Sungui-dong), Incheon, which is a short subway trip rather than an intercity journey. Take the Seoul Subway/Incheon Line 1 toward Incheon or Dongincheon Station, then continue by local bus or taxi to the Sungui-dong/Subongsan area, as there is no KTX or express bus terminal link needed for this destination.
Tips
- Use a map app to find the closest bus stop or taxi route to Subongan-gil, since this is a city-park setting without a direct subway stop at the venue.
- Outdoor performances are held on the mountain grounds, so wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.
- It's a weekend festival (Oct 17-18), so expect crowds and limited parking near the venue; arriving early or using public transport is advisable.

2026 Incheon Wondosaje & Nakseom Festival
Oct 24, 2026
Since ancient times, Korean ancestors performed rites at famous mountains, rivers, and seas, praying for the peace and well-being of the nation and local communities. For rites by the sea, during the Joseon dynasty such ceremonies were held in places like Incheon, Suncheon, and Gangneung. Among these, the Incheon-dohobu (Incheon's regional government office) held a rite to the god of the West Sea at Wondo (Nakseom). The Incheon Wondosaje refers to the rite held each spring and autumn at a shrine called Wondosa, built on Wondo during the Joseon dynasty, where Incheon's local magistrate gathered the spirit tablets of several islands and performed the ceremony on behalf of the king. The 2026 Incheon Wondosaje & Nakseom Festival is a festival held by Michuhol-gu that combines a reenactment of this ritual with a village festival featuring a harmony-themed street parade (gillori).
