Overview

The Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival is Seogwipo's signature festival, bringing together local culture, arts, and citizen-participation programs against the backdrop of Seogwipo's old downtown and the sea. It is usually held in and around the Cheonjiyeon Falls parking lot and Seogwipo's old downtown (the former town center), featuring a street parade that turns the entire street into a stage, performances and busking across various genres, stages for local artists to participate in, food stalls, flea markets, and more to heighten the festival atmosphere. The parade in particular, with citizens and organizations participating together, is the core program showcasing Seogwipo's identity and vitality — a highlight of the festival is being able to experience both sights and activities while walking through the old downtown during the festival period. This festival is a stage where the past, present, and future meet, and an exhilarating festival where citizens and audiences become one and celebrate together. At the Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival, where nature, culture, and people come together in harmony, you can create special memories.
