Overview

The Jeonju International Picture Book Fair (JIPF) is Korea's leading picture book culture festival, connecting with the world through picture books that have emerged as global content. It is a special festival where visitors can admire, up close, the original artwork of renowned authors from Korea and abroad every year; alongside Korean picture book authors, it invites a guest of honor each year to spotlight the work of a world-renowned picture book author representing that country. This 5th edition of the fair features Taiwanese author Jimmy Liao and Korean author Kim Dong-sung, and runs from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the exhibition hall of the Sori Arts Center of Korea, under the theme 'Picturing the Memories.' During the festival, starting with the opening ceremony, there will be book exhibitions and lectures by authors from Korea and abroad, a book market with participating publishers, and the New Author Exhibition to nurture emerging local authors. In addition, a variety of book-themed performances, hands-on programs, and conferences add to the festival's rich offerings. Following on, the picture book original artwork exhibition that carries the festival atmosphere forward continues until Sunday, October 25, 2026.
