Hantangang Garden Festa
Sep 12 – Nov 1, 2026 · Happening now · Gyeonggi

Overview
The Hantangang Garden Festa is a large-scale ecological and garden festival themed around seasonal flowers and nature, held at the Pocheon Hantangang River Ecological Landscape Complex. It is a festival where visitors can enjoy the thrill of a 410-meter-long Y-shaped suspension bridge along with the vast natural landscapes of the Hantangang River region, a registered UNESCO World Geopark. The event features a photo zone with an autumn camping concept, a River Market where visitors can enjoy Pocheon's representative agricultural products and various foods, themed gardens created in collaboration with local artists, and electric bicycle experiences for families. In particular, a space has also been created where visitors can fully enjoy relaxation while feeling the autumn breeze of the Hantangang River.
Why go
Hantangang Garden Festa is a large seasonal garden and ecological festival set in the Pocheon Hantangang River Ecological Landscape Complex, part of a UNESCO-recognised geopark. Highlights include a 410-metre Y-shaped suspension bridge over the river, artist-designed themed gardens, an autumn-camping-style photo zone, and a River Market selling Pocheon's local produce and food.
Getting there from Seoul
Pocheon has no KTX or subway line directly to the venue, so the usual route from Seoul is an intercity or express bus to Pocheon bus terminal, followed by a local bus or taxi to the Hantangang River Ecological Landscape Complex, since the site sits outside the town centre. Budget extra time for the onward leg, as it is not within easy walking distance of the terminal.
Tips
- Wear comfortable walking shoes, since the visit involves crossing the suspension bridge and walking through open garden areas.
- Go early or at least well before the 17:00 last-admission cutoff, as the site is large and outdoors (hours run 09:00–18:00).
- Bring cash or a card for the River Market food and produce stalls, and check the weather beforehand since most of the festival is open-air by the river.
Best for: families, photographers, nature lovers.
