Oct 17 – Oct 25, 2026 · Seoul

Overview
The Hangang River Festival offers a range of activities that appeal to both children and adults. Perfect for walking, running, or relaxing, the Hangang River area is filled with healthy laughter, delicious delights, and sparkling romance. A wonderful day at the Hangang River Festival is completed by applauding the gala show stage, created by aspiring youth and musical stars. A special playground in nature where children awaken their five senses and adults relax leisurely, a gourmet experience where the flavors and ideas of 20 young chefs fill your mouth, a lawn transformed into a giant yoga mat, and diverse water activities await you to slow down the pace of daily life.
Why go
The Hangang River Festival turns Jamsil Hangang Park into an open-air gathering for nine days of music, food, and outdoor activity. Highlights include a gala stage with up-and-coming performers and musicians, a children's play area, a food section featuring dishes from 20 young chefs, a lawn set up for yoga, and various water activities. It suits visitors wanting a relaxed riverside day rather than a single ticketed event.
Getting there from Seoul
Jamsil Hangang Park is within Seoul itself, so no KTX or intercity bus is needed. Take Seoul Subway Line 2 to Sincheon Station, which connects via an underground passage directly into the park. City buses and taxis also serve the Jamsil Hangang Park area from elsewhere in the city.
Tips
- Check the daily program schedule in advance, since hours vary by activity rather than running all day.
- Entry is free, but a few specific programs may charge a separate fee.
- Bring a mat or blanket if you want to join the lawn yoga sessions or just sit on the grass.
Best for: families, couples, foodies, outdoor activities.

Hangang Festival
Oct 17 – Oct 25, 2026
The easiest way to enjoy this autumn is to head to the Hangang. Whether you walk, run, or just rest, the autumn Hangang is full of healthy laughter, delicious delights, and sparkling romance. Wake up your body with fun workouts—from 'Rhythm Training,' where you cross lines to upbeat music, to 'Poundfit,' where you tap out rhythms with sticks, to 'Sliding Board,' which builds balance and core strength through sliding movements—and once you're done exercising, recharge with healthy energy from delicious food you make with your own hands. Applaud the gala show stage created together by dreaming youths and musical stars, and your wonderful day on the Hangang will be complete. Children can awaken their senses and adults can relax at ease in a special playground set in nature, while a culinary experience featuring the flavors and ideas of 20 young chefs, a lawn turned into one giant yoga mat, and a variety of water activity programs that slow the pace of daily life and bring you closest to the Hangang's autumn also await. Each week brings something different: experiences of walking, viewing, and enjoying Jamsu Bridge; an outdoor library where performances and play accompany the turning of each page; sensory performances unfolding on the beautiful Seorae Island as it glows with sunset light; paper airplane flying that brings both adults and children back to childhood; and the joy of creation as you complete your own artwork together with artists—all of these pleasures spread across the Hangang can fill your day. Amid stopping while walking, resting while moving, and tasting and marveling, autumn will deepen.

Under the slogan 'Companion Plants, a Green Comma in My Heart!', the event will be held for two days, from October 16 to 17, around the Dongbu Leisure Center area in Seoul Forest. The venue is made up of five zones: a Theme Zone, a Promotion Zone, an Experience Zone, an Urban Agriculture Living Model Exhibition, and a Vegetable Garden Crop Exhibition.
