'Saerobomi' is a name meaning 'seeing discarded trash as a new resource.' It reflects the idea of recognizing waste not simply as something to be thrown away, but as a resource that can be recycled and reused, while drawing attention to new possibilities for using discarded resources. The festival's main aim is to share the value of resource recycling and spread a culture of proper waste separation and recycling in daily life.
The 4th Gimje Resource Recycling Saerobomi Festival is an event held on the theme of resource recycling and environmental protection. It addresses environmental issues closely related to daily life, such as proper waste separation, recycling, and reuse of resources, with the aim of promoting the necessity of resource recycling and concrete ways to practice it. In particular, it conveys the festival's meaning around the basic concept of resource recycling: shifting the perception of waste into a resource and making continuous use of resources.
The festival aims to raise awareness of the importance of resource recycling through efficient use of resources, reducing waste generation, and improving perceptions of recycling, while increasing interest in environmental protection activities that can be practiced in daily life. Furthermore, it is a festival aimed at spreading a culture of resource recycling that moves away from a use-once-and-discard approach, continuously utilizing the value of resources through reuse and recycling.
