Gijang Imnang Wellness Tourism Festival
Oct 9 – Oct 11, 2026 · Busan

Overview
The 'Imnang Wellness Tourism Festival 2026' is a participatory tourism festival that uses the marine environment of Imnang Beach to offer a combined experience of physical activity, rest, and recovery. Through programs such as yoga, running, beach walking, meditation and breathing, programs combining music and movement, wellness talks, and hands-on experience programs, the event is designed so that visitors can directly participate and experience a variety of wellness activities. During the eve event and the main festival period, activity-based programs and rest/recovery-based programs are run together against the backdrop of Imnang's sea and beach, allowing participants to choose programs according to their physical condition and interests. Rather than being limited to simply watching performances or one-time experiences, this festival connects movement, breathing, rest, and sensory experiences within the natural environment, presenting diverse ways to enjoy wellness tourism using marine resources.
Why go
This wellness-focused festival turns Imnang Beach into an open-air venue for yoga, running, beach walks, meditation, and breathing and movement sessions set to music. It suits visitors who want an active but relaxed seaside experience rather than a stage-show festival, with both energetic and rest/recovery programs running side by side.
Getting there from Seoul
Take the KTX from Seoul to Busan Station (around 2.5-3 hours). From Busan, continue to Gijang-gun by local train on the Donghae Line or by city/intercity bus toward Jangan-eup; Imnang Beach is on the coast north of central Busan. A taxi from the nearest train station is the easiest last-mile option if you have luggage.
Tips
- Bring a yoga mat or towel and comfortable athletic wear for beach-based activities
- Check the schedule split between the eve event and the main festival days, as activity and rest programs run in parallel
- Coastal weather in early October can be breezy, so pack a light layer for morning or evening sessions
Best for: wellness travelers, yoga practitioners, runners, couples.
