Overview
The 'DDP Architecture Tour' takes place at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), centered on the spaces where visitors Dream, Design, and Play. Led by a guide, the program explores the history and significance of the Dongdaemun area where DDP is located, with a focus on the building designed by Zaha Hadid.
The tour operates regularly from Tuesday to Sunday, and is closed every Monday, as well as on New Year's Day, Lunar New Year's Day, and Chuseok Day. Operating hours are Session 1 at 10:30 (Korean), Session 2 at 13:30 (English), and Session 3 at 15:30 (Korean). The tour meets at the tour desk on the 1st floor of the DDP Museum, and takes about 60 minutes. Participants must be age 13 (middle school age) or older; those under 13 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Participation is available via online reservation or on-site registration. Online reservations can be made through the DDP website (https://ddp.or.kr/?menuno=797), and on-site registration is available for remaining seats starting 10 minutes before the tour begins.
Why go
This free guided walk inside Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) focuses on Zaha Hadid's architecture and the history of the surrounding Dongdaemun district. It's a good pick for anyone curious about the building's design story rather than just viewing it from outside.

Changgyeonggung Palace Night Banquet
Sep 24 – Oct 4, 2026
"Changgyeonggung Palace Night Banquet" is a family-friendly nighttime royal banquet program that offers a modern reinterpretation of the deeply filial banquet that Crown Prince Hyomyeong once held for his father, King Sunjo. Participants dress in royal court attire as Joseon-era civil and military officials and ladies of the outer court to join the banquet, where they taste royal court confections together with the family who came with them, watch traditional performances, and take part in a variety of traditional hands-on programs. In 2026, the program runs for a total of 20 days: the first half from May 7 (Thu) to May 17 (Sun), and the second half from September 24 (Thu) to October 4 (Sun). During Parents' Day and the Chuseok holidays, visitors can stroll through the old palace at night with their beloved family and create beautiful memories.

D.FESTA Small Theater Festival
Oct 7 – Oct 25, 2026
The D.FESTA Small Theater Festival has strived to lead the way toward a better performing arts culture by keeping pace with changes in the domestic production environment and the direction of the performance market. Since 2016, through regional exchanges with cities such as Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, and Busan, the festival has worked to bridge cultural disparities nationwide—beyond just Seoul’s Daehangno district—and has consistently sought to expand its reach through cultural exchanges with overseas performance groups. As a result, the festival showcases the fruits of its ongoing international cultural exchanges. This year’s D.FESTA Small Theater Festival will serve as a springboard to introduce outstanding domestic performances to the world and to gauge and understand the cultural standards of other countries.
