Overview

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Boeun Jujube Festival is Korea's leading agricultural specialty festival, bringing together Boeun's signature premium jujubes and other agricultural specialty products grown in the region's pristine natural environment, all in one place. In recognition of its outstanding operational achievements, the 2025 Boeun Jujube Festival was selected as the Best Festival among Chungcheongbuk-do-designated festivals for 2026, and following its selection in 2017, it has now been chosen as the Best Festival for Promoting Agricultural Specialty Product Sales in Chungcheongbuk-do for three consecutive times, earning recognition for its competitiveness nationwide. The festival is also establishing itself as a signature event representing Boeun by widely promoting the history of Boeun jujubes, once presented as tribute to the king, and their outstanding quality. During the festival period, jujube and agricultural specialty product sales venues will operate alongside an online market and a fresh jujube order call center, making it convenient for people anywhere in the country to purchase Boeun's agricultural specialty products. The festival will also feature a variety of cultural and artistic performances and hands-on programs, including the opening and closing ceremonies, offering visitors plenty to see and enjoy, and is designed so that everyone—from families to people of all ages and genders—can fully experience Boeun's autumn atmosphere. In addition, through a range of programs linking agriculture, culture, and tourism, the festival aims to widely promote the excellence of local agricultural specialty products, attract tourists, and revitalize the local economy, while being run as a signature festival that raises the brand value of Boeun's autumn tourism.
