Overview

The Wangsaeng-ro Light Street Festival is a nighttime culture and commercial district revitalization festival held over two days, October 3 to 4, in the area around Wangsaeng-ro Culture Park in Nam-gu, Ulsan.

Its core purpose is to create a distinctive nighttime landscape in a space where foot traffic is concentrated in the city center, giving citizens a chance to enjoy culture, and to draw visitors into the surrounding commercial district to boost the local economy.

On site, the festival will build a nighttime landscape through high-quality lighting displays such as media façades, a street-tree light show, laser fireflies, and a big mirror ball, while continuously lining up a variety of performances—including stages by guest singers such as Min Kyung-hoon and So Hyang, DJ sets, busking, and street theater—to maximize visitor turnout. Alongside this, the festival runs stay-oriented side events such as a food zone, beer park, flea market, and experience programs, extending how long visitors stay on site and naturally channeling that into spending at the nearby shopping district.
