    2026 Dalseong 100 Pianos

    Oct 3, 2026

'Dalseong 100 Pianos,' a cultural content that represents the region and stands as the only content of its kind nationwide. 'Dalseong 100 Pianos' is Korea's leading piano music festival, held at Samunjin Ferry in Dalseong-gun, Daegu — the historic site where Korea's first piano arrived. In March 1900, a piano brought to Samunjin by the American missionary Sidebotham was such an unfamiliar Western instrument to local residents at the time that they called it a 'ghost box.' Yet the history of music that began with a single piano has, more than 100 years later, grown into a grand stage where 100 pianos perform together.
