Overview
The 2026 Ulsan Outdoor Library 'Sopung' is an outdoor reading culture event where visitors read books while looking out at the sea. The event is hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City and held around Seuldo Art within Seuldo, Bangeo-dong, Dong-gu, Ulsan. The event name 'Sopung' was set around the theme 'Seuldok (讀),' meaning the wise reading that unfolds at Seuldo.
The operating period runs from September 19 to October 18, 2026. It runs a total of 10 times, every Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The main program consists of busking performances, book talks, DJ performances, pan flute performances, readings, starlight docent tours, and outdoor film screenings.
The book talk program features authors Choi Young-sil, Kim Cho-yeop, Ko Eun-hui, Yozoh, and Kim Su-bin. The films to be screened include Little Forest, Mong-mong-i, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, and Sing. The outdoor live performance program features artists such as Gongryong Yunyul, Purple Pizza, Yeorumbanghak, Sinban, Lee Young-ah, Lee Ki-hyuk, Gil Gi-pan · Kim Byung-jun, Lee Ha-sil · Lee Jong-min, and the magic performance team S2 Magic.
