Yeoncheon Goryeo Ginseng Festival
Oct 2 – Oct 4, 2026
The Yeoncheon Goryeo Ginseng Festival is held to promote the excellence of Goryeo ginseng produced in Yeoncheon-gun and to invigorate local agriculture and the consumption of agricultural products. Located at 38 degrees north latitude, the Yeoncheon region has a natural environment—in terms of latitude, climate, and soil quality—well suited to ginseng cultivation, and is regarded as an optimal area for growing 6-year-old ginseng. In particular, the Goryeo ginseng of the Gaeseong ginseng lineage produced in Yeoncheon is known as a high-quality local specialty. Based on the historical significance and commercial value of Yeoncheon ginseng, this festival runs a variety of exhibition, sales, experience, and food programs. It also serves as a forum for communication and exchange where local farmers and consumers meet directly to trade Yeoncheon agricultural products, and stands as a leading agricultural specialty festival that promotes the competitiveness and value of Yeoncheon agriculture both at home and abroad.
