Overview
The "2026 Chungcheongnam-do Drone Festa" is a comprehensive drone event that brings together a national drone competition, a drone conference, a drone light show, and exhibition and experience programs all in one place. The national drone competition is a nationwide contest in which participants compete in piloting skills and mission performance, including a Precision Control Mission Challenge and a Search Mission Challenge, offering a stage where any member of the public can take part as a competitor.
The drone conference is a forum for exchange and cooperation where experts from industry, academia, research institutes, and government come together to share and discuss the direction of the drone industry's development and ways to utilize drones in the region. The drone light show is a large-scale performance using more than 1,200 drones, and is the event's signature program, expressing Chungnam's provincial administration vision and key policy messages through dynamic content.
In addition, the drone exhibition and experience event introduces a variety of drone aircraft and the latest technologies, and runs piloting experiences and other participatory programs, giving visitors the chance to experience drones firsthand and become more familiar with the future drone industry.

The Hongseong Global BBQ Festival held in Hongseong, a city of aesthetics, is a festival where visitors can enjoy various barbecue cultures from home and abroad in one place. You can taste unique barbecue dishes based on Hongseong's livestock resources such as Hongseong hanu (Korean beef) and Hongseong handon (Korean pork), and there will also be cooking demonstrations by famous YouTubers and chefs. The festival combines light, music, and the historic fortress to create a fantastic nighttime scenery and offers content for all generations. During the day, visitors can enjoy sophisticated performances while picnicking, and at night, they can partake in a vibrant evening stroll.

Hongseong Namdang Port Jumbo Shrimp Festival

Namdang Port, located at the west end of Hongseong, is a famous west coast port known for its exceptional seafood. Surrounded by the clean waters of Cheonsuman Bay, Namdang Port is home to a wide array of sea life including blue crab, cockle and webfoot octopus. Namdang Port also draws throngs of visitors from early September to mid-October every year for the country’s largest Jumbo Shrimp Festival.
